Guests: MICHAEL LOWENTHAL, WESTRIDGE SCHOOL; Music: MC FRONTALOT, JACK ANTHONY

Download this episode (58 min)
MICHAEL LOWENTHAL ("Avoidance," "The Same Embrace") has penned a new historical novel, "Charity Girl," which explores a little-known American atrocity: the internment of young girls with venereal diseases during World War I. Prince catches up with Michael in his swanky hotel room, and, despite the weight of the book’s subject matter, they manage to mock Susan Sontag fanatics, complain about Wikipedia, and speculate about the Amish. Prince also pays a visit to an all-girls school in Pasadena, California, in order to get in touch with his inner teenage girl and to make sweeping declarations like, "Asians love gambling!" And as if that's not enough, Prince also reports back on his strange outings at book readings, explains the daily necessity that is "The People's Court," and spins the soul-shaking music of MC FRONTALOT ("Goth Girls") and JACK ANTHONY ("Six Minutes").

Guest: RICA ANDERSON; Music: THE ANTI-Q'S, THREE AGAINST FOUR

Prince also deconstructs Korean barbecue restaurants, reveals the dangers of brushing your teeth in the shower, and spins the fine tunes of Canada's THE ANTI-Q'S ("All for You"), and alt-rockers, THREE AGAINST FOUR ("Summer '97"), formerly fronted by Brandon Patton.

Guest: BOOMER NOTHING; Music: BRANDON PATTON, THE MATCHES

Download this episode (32 min)
In this premiere episode, Prince risks life and limb by driving his car in the pouring rain on the streets of Oakland, California, while simultaneously conducting an interview with performing artist BOOMER NOTHING, who explores "fork guilt" and gives behind-the-scenes insight on a new music video by Epitaph Records' pop-punk quartet, The Matches. Prince also tells you why "Citizen Kane" sucks, explains how this podcast (and his narcissism) could've been predicted at age 11, and spins the sexy tunes of indie rocker BRANDON PATTON ("The Good Life") and--since he's in their hometown--THE MATCHES ("Salty Eyes").
